When the Head RepeatedlyTakes Over Everyday Life

Calm osteopathic support for headaches and migraine in Berlin-Wilmersdorf

Pain · Sensitivity · Rhythm

When an Attack Changes More Than the Head Alone.

Pressure rising from the neck, throbbing pain on one side, nausea or the need to shut out light and sound: headaches can take many forms. At the conSenso® Practice in Berlin-Wilmersdorf, we support people with recurring headaches and migraine when work, sleep, movement or recovery are restricted as a result.

Some people have known their symptoms for years and recognise a clear pattern. Others experience attacks that seem to arrive without warning or change over time.

Migraine is a neurological condition and requires medical assessment. In osteopathic support, we consider not only the diagnosis but also accompanying bodily responses and strains that genuinely contribute to the individual pattern.

Pressure · Throbbing · Sensory Sensitivity

When Pain Has Different Faces

Head pain may feel dull, pressing, pulling or pulsating. It may affect the whole head or be felt mainly in the forehead, temple, back of the head or on one side.

Duration and course also vary. Some symptoms build gradually, while others become intense within a short time.

When Light, Sound or Nausea Are Added

During migraine, light, sound, smells or movement may become almost impossible to tolerate. Nausea, vomiting or profound exhaustion may make retreating to a quiet, darkened room necessary.

Some people experience an aura before an attack—for example flickering visual impressions, changes in sensation or difficulty finding words. New or unfamiliar neurological symptoms should be medically assessed.

Planning and Withdrawal

When the Next Attack Is Already Part of Every Plan.

Recurring headaches can begin to shape the calendar. Appointments, travel, exercise or evenings with others are planned with the possibility that an attack may change everything.

This caution is understandable. Yet if the body is constantly waiting for the next sign, the time between attacks can also become marked by tension and monitoring.

A headache diary can help reveal patterns involving sleep, the menstrual cycle, strain, medication and accompanying symptoms without organising every day entirely around the pain.

Neck · Jaw · Screen Work

When the Neck and Jaw React as Well

A tense upper neck, pressure at the base of the skull or a jaw that does not release by day or night can occur together with headaches.

This does not automatically mean that the tension causes migraine. It may, however, affect how freely the head, jaw and shoulder girdle move and recover between attacks.

When Screen Work and Posture Increase the Strain

Prolonged screen viewing, too little change of position and a head held forward for long periods can tire the eyes, neck and shoulders.

There is no single perfect posture. More important is often whether the body can move in between, release the gaze and return from tension to rest.

Cycle · Sleep · Recovery

When Headaches Recur with the Menstrual Cycle

For some patients, migraine or other headaches occur particularly before or during menstruation. Hormonal changes, period pain, sleep and exhaustion may coincide during the same period.

Observing the course over several cycles can help recurring patterns become clearer.

When Sleep and Recovery Are Lacking

Too little or restless sleep can alter resilience. Conversely, pain can make it harder to fall asleep, remain asleep and recover after an attack.

The aim is not to identify one single cause. What matters is which conditions intensify symptoms in the individual pattern and what allows the body greater calm between attacks.

Medical Assessment

Headaches Require Careful Attention to Change.

New, unusually severe or clearly changed headaches should be medically assessed.

A sudden, extremely severe headache, paralysis, speech or visual disturbance, confusion, seizures, high fever with neck stiffness or headaches following a head injury require immediate medical attention.

Neurological or medical assessment is also important when known symptoms become more frequent or increase in severity.

conSenso® Practice 1 · Wilmersdorf

A Calm Appointment for a Head That Rarely Truly Rests.

Osteopathic support for headaches and migraine takes place at Pfalzburger Straße 43 in Berlin-Wilmersdorf.

The undisturbed individual appointment provides time to consider the pattern, possible accompanying symptoms and connections with the neck, jaw, sleep and menstrual cycle. There is no parallel waiting-room or treatment activity.

Not every attack can be traced to a single cause. What matters is developing a more precise understanding of your own pattern.

Complimentary introductory consultation

Understanding Together How Your Headache Presents.

In the complimentary introductory consultation, you can describe how often the symptoms occur, how long they last and whether light, sound, nausea, aura, the menstrual cycle or neck tension play a role.

Existing neurological findings, medication and changes over recent months may also be important for the initial orientation.
